Technology Issues

You have no idea how many people come to me about computer issues. I have had many experiences with people who do not understand technology.

Software issues can be mind-boggling as you work on important documents for school or work and suddenly your computer crashes.

I would like to give some of you some information, how to maintain your computer and software. I have used many different types of antivirus software to malware programs that help your computer, or rather claim they help your computer.

I walked into a room one time, and the person who had called me for help was asking me why the computer did not work. I simply walked over to the computer and pressed the power button. The computer did not turn on. I looked at the outlet and the power strip next. The power strip was not plugged into the power outlet. I simply plugged the cord into the wall. I turned the computer on and watched as the operating system was Windows XP. The operating system was old. I asked the person if they would like me to upgrade the computer with a new operating system. The hard drive was 1TB and the memory had 8GB. I always remind my friends to check how much storage and memory are on the computer first before I ask the magic question of upgrading. The person said, “yes,” because they were having so many issues with the computer. I took out an external hard drive and started to work on the computer. I used the bootable drive to access my external hard drive and installed the new operating system in about 20 minutes.

The setup to the new operating system went smoothly as I had the owner of the machine input a username and password. I asked if they had an antivirus program on their machine. The person said, “no” they never did and don’t usually use one. I asked if they would like for me to show them how to use a few programs that will help with malware and viruses.

Here are the links I used. Some are free and others are paid services.

CCleaner Free and on the website there are many more tools you can use that are free. Click on the downloads link and you will see all the other great tools to use on your computer if you are computer savvy and like to work on other things.

Malwarebytes  Free if you update yourself! If you pay the yearly subscription the program will protect your computer and update automatically. It is a really good program.

Mcafee Free download and trial. Paid service Mcafee $14.99 for a one year subscription. I have enabled the link for you to use. The download for free is on Mcafee’s website, and the $14.99 version is from amazon.

Vipre Antivirus The antivirus is a paid service but works really well. I trust this antivirus system better than Norton Internet security, and it is cheaper than Norton but works better. $55.24 is the current price on the link above. Here is another link for lifetime security with Vipre Antivirus Lifetime link on amazon the program is $109.99. The program works well. Click on any on the links above to start fixing your computer.

In the process of working with many people I have learned some people want to use the free software for their computers, and some like to have paid services to ensure their identity and computer information is safe and secure.

Here are some other programs you can use for Microsoft Office software:

Kingsoft Office WPS The program works like Microsoft Office and is free. I use this program on my phone. The program works for Mac and Windows.

Libre Office The program works like Microsoft Office and is free.

The Lake House Nightmare

What happens when you have a dream and reality has its revenge?

Dreams sometimes scare and sometimes hurt, but what if I told you about a dream containing a real encounter with the supernatural. The dream was interesting as I was at home dreaming about a lake house. The lake house had a chimney and smoke was coming out of the top as the autumn leaves blew all around the ground. The man in the dream had the same routine every morning as he went about his day. He would eat three eggs and bacon with hash browns. He would then put on his red coat with a torn sleeve and walk to the door. He heard a knock and a beautiful blonde girl greeted him. She gave him a hug. He gave her a hug and started to walk on a path leading to the lake. The trail had beautiful scenery as he looked up at the trees and the mountainous terrain. The girl humming as she walked. The man looking at the girl shook his head and started to walk up hill towards the lake. The girl walked through the terrain as if it was easy and when they reached the lake the girl disappeared.

The man startled, started to walk around the lake to see if she was there and found the girl was gone. The next day he awoke followed the same routine and when he walked up to the door the girl knocked at the same time. He opened the door and she gave him a big hug. He asked, “Where did you go yesterday?” She looked down at the floor and pushed at a yellow and red colored leaf with her foot. He slammed the door and walked along the same path. The girl again humming as they walked to the lake. The man walking up to the lake could not hear the girl humming as he made his way up the path. She each day disappeared.

I told you dreams are weird but as I told you this dream hurt coming out of it. I will explain to you why this dream hurt. My wife and I are asleep right next to each other dreaming the same dream. We are in the lake house with the man as he does his routine. The man in the lake house goes to the door and is greeted by the girl she gives him a big hug and then looks at my wife. I am sitting down looking at the wall and notice a box. The little girl then looks at my wife and says. “I need to go to the bathroom.” The lake house has two large bathrooms, but when the girl with blonde hair goes into the bathroom, she stays in there for a long time. My wife at this point seems worried as she says she’s been in the bathroom too long. When she walked in, she could see her sitting there on the toilet with a blank face and my wife could see the whites of the girl’s eyes.

I am still in the other room sitting down looking at the same box and realize it is an electrical box. The box starts to open all on its own. The girl in the bathroom is still sitting there on the toilet. She is not moving. My wife comes into the room and starts to speak when the electrical box closes all on its own and all the lights shut off. The man in his red coat screamed as darkness swallowed the room whole. The man made his way to the door and opened it. Shaken he started to walk the trail. The autumn leaves all around were red and yellow and the leaves covered the ground. It almost looked like blood as the sunshine hit the leaves. We started walking with the man. He did not say a word he just walked toward the lake on a long path of leaves. The girl came out of the lake house humming as she slammed the door shut. She started skipping as she was humming. My wife looked into my eyes and squinted her eyebrows as we walked up. I could hear the girl humming. She started to catch up to the man and as she did, she was upset we were still with him. She looked at us and rolled her eyes to the back of her head. We stopped walking and started to follow them slowly up to the lake. The man reached the lake and the girl disappeared. My wife and I looked at each other questioning what we had just seen. The man walked along the path around the lake. We looked at each other and walked up to the lake where she disappeared. The lake seemed dark and eerie. The lake started to separate creating a path. The water on both sides defying gravity. I decided to walk on the path while my wife waited for me to return. I walked on the muddy path as I looked at the water it started to turn red  in certain parts and it looked as if it were blood rising from the bottom of both sides of the path. I came to a spot where a girl with blond hair was laying. She died from drowning and a major blow to the head. Her feet were tied with a weight and her body was left to decay in the lake. I went over to the body and looked at it closely, but as I did the skeleton twitched. I looked at the girl and she was now alive. She repositioned herself to look at me. I walked over to her trying to help. I bent down. I was going to ask her how she got to the bottom of the lake. She looked at me as her eyes rolled to the back of her head and grabbed me by the throat. Her eyes turned from white to black, and her mouth started to move as she grimaced at me. She hit me in the head then said, “Did you kill me?” “Where is the man in the red coat?” Gasping for air and in pain from the blow to the head. “I said, no I don’t know.” The water came crashing down on me and I felt as if I was living her life as she died. I tried to breath but water filled my lungs. I awoke kicking and screaming and gasping for air. The impossible thing about the dream I awoke soaking wet. I had a massive gash on my head, and on my neck, I had bruises from the girl’s skeletal hand.

Maya awoke telling me I never came back. I told her. The girl in the dream was the same girl we met at the lake house. She is at the bottom of the lake, and the man in the red coat was the one who killed her. “What?” She said. “Yes, the girl in the dream is an angry spirit. Her spirit taunts the man everyday he lives with the same routine.”

A loud bang came from the garage. I put my slippers on and raced over to where the noise was coming from. My head pounded as the electrical box repeatedly slammed. I felt my ears ringing as the banging continued. My wife startled me as she brought the broom from the kitchen. “What is going on?” I looked at my wife and realized she was trembling in fear. I told her. “It’s a sign.” “The girl wants us to go up to the lake house and find her murderer and make him pay for his crime.” The banging stopped as I finished my statement.

Maya looked at my head and said, “you need to go see a doctor.” I told her I would but I had to see this through to the end. I showered got ready and grabbed breakfast. My head throbbed as I took each bite. My wife got ready as well putting on her coat. We made our way to the lake. I called the police and let them know about the girl at the bottom of the lake, and that a man wearing a red coat always did his regular routine of walking around the lake. When we arrived at the lake house it was almost exact to the dream. The police were already at the lake house. The man in the red coat was denying the whole thing. I walked up to the man and told the officer. The man assaulted me as I told him I was going to call the authorities. The divers came up confirming there was a body at the bottom of the lake. The man looked at me as if he had never met me. I had never met him but figured it was as good as anything to get this murderer locked up to pay for his crime.

The police officer looked at me and asked “What happened?” I told him, “he gave me a full confession about the murder.” When I told him, “I have to report the crime to the police.” It was at this point when he started to become paranoid. I walked outside on the pebbled driveway, and he grabbed my neck, and hit me hard on the head with a blunt object. If it weren’t for my wife the man would have killed me. She pushed him away from me and helped me up and into our vehicle. “The man tore his sleeve as he hit the ground,” my wife said. The officer looked me in the eyes and said you have a nasty bruise on your neck. The man in the red coat was arrested. He was screaming. “I have no idea who those people are!” “I didn’t do anything!” The officer looked at me and said. What’s in the house that stuck out to you the most. My wife and I both looked at each other and said, “the electrical box.” It was at this point the electricity in the house turned off and the room got super cold. The man in the red coat started screaming. “The girl is standing at the front door!” “The girl is waving at me!” She hugs me, and follows me every single day as I walk around lake!” The man was put into the car. The officer who put him into the car told the man, “tell that to the insane asylum.”

Psychological Warfare of Business

Psychological Warfare of Business

Does it exist?

Occupational Darwinism is the theory of evolution of people within the workplace, and the process in which they conduct business within the ranks of employees. The occupational Darwinian approach to psychology aims to understand human behavior considering the evolutionary theory. It puts it into the workplace and describes the evolution of workplace employees and their survival within a company.

Business is business no matter where you go in the world, and there will always be problems and confrontation. It is how we deal with psychological warfare of the business.

What is a job?

It’s a person’s role in society, and a job is an activity performed in exchange for payment for duties done for a company or person. A person can begin a job by becoming an employee, volunteering, starting a business, or becoming a parent, and being a public servant such as government.

Everyday life has a way of putting a person in their place.

What do I mean?

You ask this question as if I know everything. I do not, but make the observation when work is like a game of chess. The board unique to how events line up the game designed to attack an opponent picking off the opposing team one by one. What happens when this is being played by a company such as where you work? It’s happening in many jobs all around the world, but I have found the most interesting field of work is the restaurant industry. While you work for a restaurant company, you understand the nature of the company and working for a corporation/franchise is no different.

While everyone knows, the older generation makes up most the restaurant’s form of income of the business. Yes, there are other restaurants, which allow football games and wings for the younger crowd with loud music, and drinks. The game being played differently in this environment but relates all the same to the psychological warfare in the business.

Competition will always make a person compete to make another person look bad in favor of power. What is power? Why is power effective? The chessboard, for instance, has a king. The king in the scenario will be the owner of the company. The queen will be the Vice President, and the other pieces will fall into place according to management, supervisors, and the pawns, which are the lower-level employees. The question should be who runs the asylum? Is it the manager in control of his subordinates, or is it the pawns running around the restaurant trying to satisfy the guests’ needs? Who is running the asylum?

The king walks through the door, and the employee is supposed to stop and address the king. If they do not welcome the king, he will rebel and throw a tantrum, but what happens when the king tells a team member?

“You are not special.”

The power in which I am talking about is none other than conditioning. Conditioning is I am in power and you are below me. I can replace you, but when you do this in public where all the customers and employees can hear you this becomes a problem. I have seen it in major corporations such as major store branches who have become a monopoly of power with no limitations of how they treat their employees. The conditioning is you are replaceable, or a dime a dozen.

The employee at this point felt an awful pain because it is embarrassing to them emotionally and psychologically, but it also sets a standard for your customers. Every person who walks into the facility is a customer, including the owner and his staff. The owner at this point has set the tone for his employees who are his internal customers. The tone he has set is the cascading effect of power, and the king either unknowingly or knowingly put up a boundary. He has said at that moment. “I do not care about you or the people.” It implies that all he cares about is the money sent to his bank account.

The customers bring me money not you, but you are wrong sir!

The employees are internal customers who give the demand.

The concept if another one of the king’s restaurants opens and takes money from the employees’ lives it takes a part of their livelihood. I.e. the restaurant has a fire, and it affects the employees because they can’t work for an extended period. The owner of the company does not give a damn because it all goes into the same pocket.

Whose?

His pocket!

The king will make more off insurance, because his investment into his own company will pay him for his loss of product, building structure, and wages.

What would happen if an employee can have insurance like the owner if a fire, or another disaster? It would also protect the employee, and would benefit.

The hierarchy of power reflects the mood of the owner onto the upper-level management, and lower-level management. The management enforces this mood onto the staff members through means of retaliation.

It is amazing how many businesses use the schedule as punishment.

Employees everywhere if this is happening please call your human resources department!

The schedule is a binding legal document the court systems use to make sure the employee is getting the number of hours needed to sustain their household and daily lives. It is used for unemployment. If an employee’s schedule is changed. The manager must make sure the employee knows of the change and ask if the employee can work the desired amount of hours.

The favorite part about this one is when the managers put schedules are subject to change. Check your schedules.

Is it acceptable?

Is it even legal if you are living in an at will state for employment?

It’s illegal and unprofessional to use the schedule as punishment. When the owner has power in his or her human resources department, anyone is a target of retaliation.

Whistle blowers tread cautiously in this scenario because you are subject to the same wrath.

The department should be separate from the company and should not be manipulated by source or rather king, queen, bishop, rook, castle, in this scenario.

They should not consider higher ups influence/opinions if they are contributing to the issue, or are part of the problem.

The retaliation point could be when the owner signs off on paychecks. When the owner signs the checks and takes it to the bank.

What are his thoughts and actions, but anyway back to the management discussion, and hierarchy of power?

The manager already told to deal with the employee then turns his attention to the not so special person who is replaceable. It’s a fact of any business who can abuse their power knowing every employee is replaceable in major businesses and huge chain stores.

If a vice president/director of operations the (queen) of the board pressured by the king they get the call. The queen is bent on pleasing power so in return subjects her power toward the staff and guests impacting subordinates of the company. Her goal is to set impossible standards and force the (employee) opponent out the door. Here taken off the board, but the company feeds the notion of we want long-term employees.

Is this acceptable?

Is it right?

Whom do you go to when this power crushes your inner character and well-being? The punishment and retaliation of this behavior breaks a person’s moral.

The many problems built into this environment are hard to comprehend. The issues here are just some problems associated with any business. Companies such as these should focus on the well-being of a person. Not if they can show up to work. If there is a problem, they have to attend to, however people need to work to survive.

What about the well-being of the employee?

If the employee is ill and needs to stay away from guests and other employees, it’s not considered in some cases. The employee is told to cover their shift.

If the shift is not covered, the employee written up for being unable to get there shift covered.

Three strikes and the employees are jobless, and the manager is finding a replacement.

What does this mean to the employee?

The queen, rooks, bishops, knights, and pawns are all victims of retaliation and subjected to a hostile work environment.

Who wants to work for a king who does not care about his staff and just the money?

There is an imbalance in the business, and it is after all just business, but the staff makes the king powerful. The staff is the ultimate key to the success of the business, and the power of the king.

The chessboard is being played by someone else because though the king is in power. The king has deadlines, licensing, insurance claims, legal issues, and many other issues to handle on a daily basis including loss prevention/food cost.

The king has to look back and find the reason he started the business. However, yes, we understand it is to make money. Is money so important his internal and external customers have to suffer as he crushes his team to make the extra million or two?

Psychological warfare played by everyone in education, restaurant business, the police department, and major corporations. Though played by everyone in the business, it is the source of power, which makes the biggest impact on the business and the impression on the person.

The problem of telling someone each person is not special is not empathetic to the person’s situation.

It is cruel!

Who would continue to work for someone who gets mad if you are late because every day is different? Every day brings a new challenge, and not all circumstances are the same? I.e. The person who has daycare for their child and the manager schedules the person at the same time makes it harder for the employee.

The challenge is to find the one person who stands separate from the rude comments, and the negativity in the palace of sanity or insanity.

It overall has affected this person to hear all the rude comments. When the person utilizes their knowledge to set boundaries around their personal perspective, and emotional faults that person is no longer subjecting himself or herself to behavior. The person can become more than just a pawn in the game of psychological warfare, but rather an equalizer. The person I am talking about can influence staff to help others become successful.

If you are a new employee and are experiencing any of the actions above look for the positive in the sharks gliding along on top. Life is a ladder to succeed you must keep climbing even after you’ve met the highest level of accomplishment.

We all get comfortable in our positions but when a person is constantly subject to change and rotation the growth is exponential internally and externally. The customers such as staff and guests know you will take care of their needs. The acknowledgment and respect from the employees is even greater. The staff learns to appreciate and will help this person.

Here’s the kicker.

How would you like having to go to work every day knowing the powerful chess pieces are not able to make a person quit and give up?

Finally, to carry the briefcase, you have to be able to handle every aspect of the chessboard and the pieces in which the board allows a move.

What happens when you run out of moves?

Does the game end, or do you restart the game? Adapt and change.

The guests always come first in any business, but for the king, it is his wishes above the guest. I’m served first because I am the owner, and because I am above you. The attitude is; I am hungry feed me! Passive aggressive behavior and attitude.

Is this right?

Is it wrong?

The golden question of any business is who fires the employee/customer? I would say the employee/customer fires themselves or as inevitable, as time is the employee/customer just gives into the abuse and gives up. It becomes a problem when the employee/customer gives into this treatment. The internal customer/employee forgets the external customer and doesn’t care about their lives; they just focus on keeping their jobs to sustain their lives.

The king has won, and the queen given the satisfaction of crushing an internal adversary while using tools such as the manager, bishop, knight, and the rook to affect the pawns in the game. The effect is the end game.

The pawn could be just as powerful as the more powerful pieces in this business. The employee has to think effectively and strategizes how to understand the opponent/worker. Never let your opponent know what your next move will be until you make it. While you make the next move make sure, the opponent thinks thoroughly about their next move.

It makes them second-guess their own abilities of power.

I would suggest always be three to four steps ahead and think first before you try to make your next move. In this case, the owner and the management, and it could work with the employees at the same level. Learn and know there dislikes about certain ways of shutting down the business. Adjusting the environment to where the king does not complain to the queen, the bishop, knight, or the rook about who is at fault. It makes the pawn in the game highly effective in keeping a distance from the powerful opponents. Instead can take action to see, avoid, and stop the stronger opponents’ warpath when the time is right.

I would say the two teams are equal but when you clock in the time for moving is essential to being at war with the other team. Every business has what you would call the bottom feeders of the company. The employee who is off the radar and is doing the minimal amount of work puts more work on other employees. The situation redirected without having to crush the internal pieces. It continues to happen daily as the manipulation and problems not addressed.

The chessboard and psychological warfare in this business crushes an intellect and drains the mind of a strong-willed person.

“Treats others how you want to be treated” trumped by those trying to harness and gain power.

The game of leaving things out put away as soon as an opener opens the door to the asylum of business. Instead throws the previous shift under the bus and left for road kill. The person who does this stands by and lets the others take the fall when the king complains.

Why hasn’t this done?

The direct response, for example, is they did not do it yesterday or last night.

The initial response the king should say is.

“Who opened this morning?”

“Why is this not done?”

What could have you done to make sure this problem was corrected?

Instead, the king, lacking the team approach, in turn, is not contributing to the team effort and only thinking of whom to blame? Instead, he walks around ranting and raving about what isn’t done and who is to blame. He should have asked the team to get the job done in an effort to ease the problem.

Hiring people who say they can do the job, but they really do not have the necessary skills to do the job is another thing. We see this in politics, restaurant businesses, casinos, hotels… Interviewing people who feed you the information you want to hear have the ability to get the job. When they have the job are unable to do it.

All talk and no action.

The person hired to point fingers and talk crap about others while insuring their faults not looked at when questioned. The person points the finger at the other employees. Policy doesn’t exist to this person as they are on their cell phone all the time talking to the main boss. The ass kisser! I get a kick out of when this type of employee is in management and sets the other shifts up for failure. The person leaves the place a mess and has the other crew while working their regular shift pick up the mess.

It does not matter when someone doesn’t show up.

The show must go on!

I have seen so many employees suffer at the hands of these type of employees.

The funny thing is human resources has a huge list of complaints from these people’s actions, has done nothing to solve many issues, and are ignoring the complaints. The problems that will arise later are legal issues in the future for the company and the owner, but the pressure put on human resources with questions like.

“Why did you not act on the problem?”

“Who do we blame?”

“Is it in the best interest of the company?”

It drives staff members crazy when this happens and more problems develop. The person fails at ordering, preparation, job knowledge, and constructively analyzing staff because of lack of training. Where is the training, manager? In turn, this person is a fast talker in the circus of employment and does the same thing in the scenario with the king when confronted. The person is special in his own aspect, but is sadly also replaceable, as am I for writing this article? “Not an admission of guilt!”

Longevity or job tenure! What is it and why is it important? In a never-ending changing world, the environment of business is never the same for too long. Employees who have worked for the company for long periods develop methods of manipulation. It doesn’t matter if you are a manor a woman in this scenario. If you have worked for any company for 10 years, they have seniority.

It means individual employees have an investment where they have invested time and energy to see the company grow and expand. They have grown and expanded their positions. What happens when the person is a new piece on the chessboard and the people who have an investment in the company manipulate the new people out the door?

The employees who are new have no idea the environment they are about to embark on.

The senior employee who knows their position well has the ability to manipulate others in the work field. They do this through scheduling, job duty, and like the king make others feel like they should quit through manipulation. The behavior causes damage to the person’s perspective, and though the employees feel good about themselves, it creates a hostile work environment.

Here is an example. In the restaurant business servers who are knowingly hogging tables and not sharing, the load with their teammates to make sure everyone has a fair chance at making money. The new employee given many tasks and cannot focus on their guests. The senior employee does this to knock the opponent off the chessboard. The senior employee manipulates the situation while the manager lets this behavior happen, or they are oblivious to what the employee is doing. The manager continues to allow this to happen without addressing the situation and seating the restaurant.

The employee quits because they are not making any money. It is interesting the way companies handle tips. When there is no business the employee who written up based on performance. Guests’ not coming into the place of business the company forced to pay their wages at minimum wage. Some servers never see a check based off what they claim for tips and tax purposes.

Is this right? We all know the answer to this question, but it is still happening!

When they share and do the workload the workplace is friendly and engaging, but without balance, it is chaos, and thus the question.

Who is running the asylum?

Management and labor cost. Who will get their hours cut? It is interesting to stand witness to some most interesting things in business and budget is a major part. It happens in education as well where the hierarchy of power. Politicians monetize education-putting pressure on administrators which then the message portrayed to the teachers and staff members.

In order for the government to get involved you, monetize education.

Budget as expressed above.

How do you break down the budgets of schools all across a school district?

The answer is numbers.

The district uses the number of students going to a school to give a school a budget. There are dollar signs on all the heads of the students going to public school. In the hospital world, they call it heads in beds. Cha Ching! If your numbers are high, the principal will get a bigger budget, but if they are low, the budget affects jobs, supplies, and many other things.

Teachers go to school for long periods to attain the ability to teach in the classroom. There are tests they have to pass before they can even step into the classroom. The government sets the standards of having teachers go through observations, caseloads, and the list could go on and on as with any other job. The politicians point the finger at the principals and the principals bent on pleasing power points the finger at the teachers. Attendance, testing, and other things are what they evaluate teachers on while teaching for the school system, and they aren’t paid well at all. The districts excuse is that teachers don’t work the summers. During a teachers time off they are lesson planning, grading, and dealing with ways to set up their classrooms. The teacher also deals with classroom management and behaviors. Teachers also work on caseloads, IEPS, BIP’s, and buying supplies for their classrooms to become effective teachers.

We all know everyone needs a job and money to sustain a life so the newer employees allow this behavior. If they know, the employee will complain to management and lose hope if nothing is done. The newer employee does not know how to respond, or how to handle the situation, and this is how we end up with a self-destructing employee; implying the employee ends their employment with the company.

How would you handle the situation?

Whom would you turn to if management does nothing? The senior employee is large and in charge of the aquarium swimming alongside the sharks at the top of the food chain?

Superiority of power and its abuses. The other day I was sitting in a restaurant at a booth over hearing conversations between a supervisor and a district manager. The supervisor was expressing concerns about cell phones. The district manager was very rude in the way he worded things to the supervisor. He had a threatening tone in his voice. The interesting thing is the supervisor was able to see past the threatening tone, and continued to state his concerns. The district manager told the supervisor, “I don’t have that problem because I don’t see the cell phone problem while I am here. It must be that I have more pull and connections than you.”

The supervisor understood the man’s pull and power, but while I listened to the conversation, the district manager told the supervisor he was ineffective.

The supervisor got upset with his tone and comment. The supervisor did not argue with the man, but stated his point to his superior. His tone did not change, but remained calm. He stated, “What is ineffective is when the general manager of the company is going against policy and procedures and is allowing the behavior in front of you and the other upper level management. I on the other hand have managed to reduce my staffs’ usage of personal cell phones and hygiene such as earrings while they are here at work, but remind the employees of policies and procedures.”

He got up calmly and walked away to tend to a paying customer. The supervisor glanced back at the man and said under his breath as he walked away. “Your analysis makes you look like a fool because you don’t really know what is going on in the establishment.”

The supervisor’s body language and state of consciousness changed. He became more aware of the threatening environment. I watched him maneuver his body into a neutral position as the man pursued his analysis. The supervisor was shielding his staff members from the negativity of this superiority of power. He was more in control than the district manager was.

The pieces of the chessboard laid out on the board and the player is trying to protect his pieces to the puzzle. The supervisor was doing just this while tending to the guests while this person sat down and talked on his cell phone. The supervisor maneuvered his employees into their places, and had them working on different tasks.

I witnessed the districts managers family come into the establishment. My brother became upset because we have known the supervisor for many years and know the person well. We also have been managers in the business of the food industry and felt that if we complained nothing would happen because it would go back to the same repulsive snit anyway.

“A man, a dream, and the many jobs in between maintaining an establishment, a neglected family, and carrying a brief case full of money that is your responsibility as you walk in the building is not worth killing yourself!”

In life we always choose to be empathetic of others while living our own individual lives, but when we notice a man not taking care of himself balancing everything life has to offer, and in the end. He said; “It’s not worth killing yourself over these people, and their personal gain in life.” He died 5 days later. His last month he was isolating himself in his room drinking. He did not know the sickness was taking over. He ended up with pneumonia. His health started to decline and his life became clearer in the end. He always worked extremely hard to help support a family that had been broken since his daughter died. His wife fell to ribbons and caused him to divorce her. The family separated but came together in the end. He was supporting his son, ex-wife, and mother-in-law. His son was torn to ribbons as his father to my knowledge had life insurance and didn’t receive it. Instead the company paid for the funeral and the reception. The owner of the company did not write the wrong. Human resources allows higher ups to dictate what their jobs are and does not seek the well being of the employees.

I could write a book on the number of psychological issues associated with any business. To survive the business you must set yourself apart from the other chess pieces and the board of checkered boxes, and tell yourself. “It’s just a job where you are choosing to be subject to the conditions described above.”

If you are caught up in always going home mad and frustrated. If you see your health decline please leave the job you are working, or find another job where you can be in a more professional setting. Do what you love and the money will follow. You don’t deserve to be in an environment where a business allows harassment, expiration on employees, and the well-being of employees like violating Hipaa law. Hipaa law (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) is United States legislation that provides data privacy and security provisions for safeguarding medical information. Human resources does nothing to help the employees, and sides with the business.

The write ups containing it is not in the best interest of the company. Employees rise up and defend your rights as employees and as an individual. Question your human resources department and question the people being controlled like puppets. The chess game can restart as long as you survive within the game.

The man, a dream, and a job in between maintaining an establishment, a neglected family, and a brief case full of money is not worth killing yourself. Standing by watching a man not taking care of himself balancing everything life has to offer, and in the end he said, “It’s not worth killing yourself over these people, and their personal gain in life.” He died 5 days later.

In conclusion, I could write a book on the number of psychological issues associated with any business. To survive the business you must set yourself apart from the other chess pieces and the board of checkered boxes, and tell yourself. “It’s just a job where you are choosing to be subject to the conditions described above.”

Dead Man Walking

The story opens with a question.

What if I were not here right now?

What if I were to perish within the next couple of moments, minutes, or even hours?

It is strange how time is consistently in the course of our ways of life and present situations, but as all circumstances what if you were in a slumber for more than 6 months?

The thought could change your life forever.

The type of scene is rough on family members, colleagues, and the people attempting to help save your life. It’s a test because they are oblivious of the challenges you are about to experience internally, and religiously. The feeling is an internal feud, and the individual is struggling to get back to their ways of life.

There was formerly a husband who maintained an extremely active lifestyle. He was driving home one night to a family birthday where he was going to meet his family and let them know how much he cherished them, but as he was operating his motor vehicle on a 35 miles an hour road he was rear-ended by a guy not paying attention to the traffic on the roadway. The fellow driving a white old Buick was awfully busy playing with his iPod shuffling through songs and was unaware he was speeding at 65 miles per hour.

The second you look into your rear-view mirror and notice the headlights of an automobile not preparing to stop your mind starts to race, and the impact pushes you into another automobile ahead of you. You have no chance to brace for impact and your body moves rapidly as the jolt caused Brian to strike the drive wheel with his bottom portion of his jaw and sternum. He felt the bones crack as he hit his sternum, and the airbag deployed sending him flying backward into the seat, and as he is forced backward, his insides started to ache, and his face started to sting he knew the airbag did even more damage. The last thing he sees is the dashboard cover flying over his skull into the rear seat and as he witnesses this, he begins to pass out.

Brian was now battling for every breath. His lungs were severely injured, and he was bleeding internally.

Brian’s family was not given any information about his condition when the medical staff on the phone had called. The group was informed to rush to the emergency room. The family received the report Brian was in a terrible accident upon reporting at the emergency room. It led to his wife to fear for the worst, and the family appeared to panic. Several hours passed as the surgeon’s continuously struggled to sustain his life. The surgeons, doctors, and nurses defeated could not save Brian. The medical team tried numerous methods to ensure his survival, but could not get his heart beating after multiple flat lines. His body had suffered an extensive amount of damage.

Brian had literally died on the operating table multiple times, but while he was being operated on. Brian’s spirit was peering down at his own body. He could see and hear everything in the hospital.

Brian years afterward informed the household about the story.

I could recall seeing black hands appearing from the walls. I remained observing as time worked extremely fast.

He recounted being above everybody in the emergency room in immense detail described the physicians and nurses working hard to help him survive. Brian mentioned other individuals around him as he was in the emergency room. There were people passing and coming up to his level, but they would zoom past him. Brian would invariably hesitate and draw in a deep breath as he described black hands coming out of the walls and operating tables, tugging at bad spirited people’s souls. The cries of the individuals being captured by the deathly black grips were strange, but Brian questioningly started to think why he stood to linger above his corpse. Brian walked around peering at his lifeless corpse, but couldn’t do anything to get back into it. He recalled the monitor flatline multiple times, and the defibrillator sending a shock into his body. He viewed his body rise then collapse as it did nothing to aid him. It alarmed him because he could see his family crying in the waiting area as they were presented with the message he did not make it.
Brian sighed with regret and observed as the physicians brought the sheets over his head. He continued watching in confusion as the physicians started to walk with his body down the hallway.

His family devastated.

Brian looked on placing his palm out to his wife as she sank to the floor crying. He walked around his family struggling to comfort them but went nowhere in his attempts. He tried everything to let them know he was with all of them.

Brian sat on an unoccupied hospital bed thinking about his family, but as he did this he could see the black hands reaching from the walls. One of the dark palms struck his back and seized him, and he felt all the remembrances of grief and sorrow throughout the times. When this took place he bolted up because the hands appeared to be trying and drag him toward the wall where a black door appeared to open, and he knew they were seeking to take him. The black hands were then hurting him as they took hold of him and the started trying to drag him into the darkness behind the door. His soul sadly knew where the doorway led into hell.

He asked calmly in his mind is this the end?

He tore away from the hand’s grip and raced down the hallway. He could identify many people fleeing their frames, and they were being dragged into the blackness down below or were whizzing by him toward a higher purpose. Brian at this point wanted to jump back into his body but didn’t know how. His emotions appeared to make him bitter and depressed.

He cried out for help, but no one acknowledged his request.

The deceased were all in a hurry. Brian now desperate fell into a state of depression.

He could see the embalmer cutting off the rest of his clothes and removing his belongings as they prepped him to be embalmed.

He stated many times that time moves really fast when you are dead.

It’s not like on earth.

He sat next to his body shaking his head.

The black hands relentlessly started to pop out of the walls, and they were reaching out trying to grab him.

He watched the embalmer start their process. The embalmers shaved his face and cleaned him up. The staff started the process of putting on a glue to make sure his mouth remained shut. The two staff members in the room cleaned him up and started to sew the mouth shut. The embalmers worked around the work the physicians did to clean the flesh on his chest and body with a disinfectant and germicidal solutions while bending, flexing, and massaging his arms and legs to relieve rigor mortis. Brian shocked started to panic. He jumped up and laid above his body. He envisioned himself going back down into his own body. The embalmer was now starting the process of draining blood. The man knew his job well and started the process. Brian looked deep down into his soul and asked for a second chance at life. The black hands grabbed at Brian and as he felt their grip on him pull down, he could see the charred hands. He could hear deathly screams. He could hear whips and chains in the background while spirits cried in pain.

Brian scared and confused thought of his family and his friends. He wanted to be with them now more than ever.

Come with us they bellowed.

Brian started to feel the cool air hit his body. Breathing from his nose, he opened his eyes and grabbed for the embalmer’s arm. The man nearly died as Brian startled him. The other embalmer laughed and said it was only reflexes, but for some odd reason, the man knew Brian was miraculously alive even though he had checked his vitals and went through the process. Brian tried to speak, but no words escaped his mouth. His lips were sewn shut. Brian yelled and thrashed his arms around. He felt the massive pain coming from his stomach where he suffered great damage to his insides. Brian looked around the room and suddenly passed out from the shock.

Brian awoke to a room full of family and friends. They were all so happy he was alive and doing well.

While in the hospital Brian asked his wife to look at his back because it felt like someone had dug into his skin. The charred marks she saw frightened her. She described four marks going down and three across.

Brian lived to be an old man and always warned the children of the black hands in the walls, but as he got older, he started to see a dark image of a devilish looking creature with red and yellow eyes swirling in opposite directions. The creature haunted Brian‘s dreams. His wife called the local church and had the house blessed, but the occurrences and frequent attacks of the creature made Brian scream out into the night as he said the black hands and the creature were coming for him. His night terrors got worse and Brian’s wife told the local police when he died she saw four slashes and three others appear on his back and they appeared to be burned into his flesh.

He kept repeating.

The red and yellow eyes! The red and yellow eyes!

The Deadly Mirror

Zachary! We need to get you to school. The child was in his room getting ready for school when his mother was trying to hurry him because she was late for work. He had put on his overalls and his shirt and was fighting with his socks. He ran out of the room screaming. Mom, my socks are too small! Elizabeth sighed and said grab your new ones out of your drawer on the left-hand side. He walked up to the drawer and opened it. He looked at the brand new bag of Hanes socks and opened the package. Zachary was only 6 years old. He pulled out the socks and yelled. “Mom, my socks are not washed!”

His mom did not reply but left him to get ready. Zachary had a sister named Laniakea she was so cute and gorgeous his mother always bragged. Zachary walked over to his sister’s chamber and sought to use the restroom. She frowned at him and said, Zach! “I swear if you stink up my bathroom.” “I will.” “I will murder you.” I desire to clean my teeth and comb my hair. Geez. It’s not like I am hopping up and down struggling not to drop the tortoise’s head from its shell. “Ew, Laniakea said,” as he went into the restroom and locked the door. Zachary a bright boy but called for all the attention in the world. They told his mom and dad at school he had ADHD. They called it a disorder and a problem that needed their attention if Zachary ever wanted to succeed in school.

Laniakea, I am about ready to release the Kraken Zachary joked as he put the toilet seat up. Zachary slammed the back of the seat hard on the toilet for sound effects and put his hands near his mouth so he could make the sound effects of huge farts. Zach laughed and giggled as he continued to have his fun. Zach stopped when he heard his sister scream. Mom! Zachary is pooping in my toilet, and he will stink it up. Their mother downstairs shrugged her shoulders and giggled for a moment and then sided with Laniakea. Zachary, you need to do that business downstairs. Zach hearing his mother laughed. He pulled the flusher of the toilet and noticed as the water swirled away. Zach turned around and looked into the mirror, and saw his reflection, and made silly gestures as he looked at the mirror then pulled out a toothbrush and attacked his teeth, and was holding the toothbrush with both hands acting like it was trying to kill his teeth. Zach finished brushing his teeth and rinsed his mouth, and looked into the mirror and smiled showing his pearly whites, but he observed as he looked into the mirror it wasn’t him but a monster with sharp teeth, and horns.

Zachary backed away from the mirror and kept his focus on the monster in the mirror. Mom! Zachary screamed out loud at the top of his lungs. His mother was dealing with Laniakea downstairs and didn’t hear him as he screamed. Mama! He screamed again. There is a Mon, Mon, Monster in the mirror! The devilish looking creature stared at the boy. He did not move but reflected his mouth and fear the child exhibited. The mirror rippled and move.  It froze Zachary in fear. He stood there scared and shaking. He farted and felt warm liquid flowing down his pants. Mom! He screamed again and heard nothing. Zachary was scared and could feel his heart beating in his chest. He heard a voice, and the mirror looked like water rippling outward. You say I am a monster, but you don’t even know me, little boy. Black hands came out of the mirror and grabbed the walls. The house trembled and quake.  Zachary could not stand while the house shook and as it did, he lost his balance and hit the bathroom floor hard.

Laniakea, get down it is an earthquake! Laniakea’s mother rushed over to her daughter and guided her to the table. The glass shattered on the windows, and all the drawers and shelves opening and closing. Laniakea screamed and said. Where is Zachary? Her mother accompanied her under the dinner table and there they remained as the ground proceeded to shake. The shock went on for two extensive minutes before diminishing. Laniakea and her mom crept out of underneath the table when it was over, and could not believe their eyes. The drawers of canned foods, knives, and spoons that were in the right place were now on the floor. What happened mama? We had an earthquake baby. What is that mommy? It is when the ground shakes. You will study in school about plate tectonics and how they shift producing the earth to shake. Oh, she replied. While looking down at the floor, and thinking about her brother where is Zach? Zachary, are you ok? No reply. Elizabeth rushed up the stairs and ran into the kid’s room and banged on the restroom door. Zachary, open the door! She screamed.

Zachary dazed tried to get up from the earthquake.

He sat up and heard a muffled noise. He could not tell where it was coming from because he hit his head and ear hard on the floor when he fell.

Mom! Zachary said trying to figure out why his ears were ringing.

Zach’s mother again screaming for him to open the door, however, Zach could not hear his mother because his ears were ringing.

Zachary now glanced around the lavatory and saw the cupboards were open and all the towels and cupboards were on the floor. Zachary used the lavatory to force himself back up but as he did, he could hear laughter coming from behind him. Zach turned around and as he did, he could see the same evil creature watching him, but Zachary noticed the monster was holding something in his black hands.

Candy!

Zachary’s eyes lit up. Zachary looked at the candy and licked his lips. Zachary’s stomach growled as his eyes became fixated on the candy as he walked toward the dark evil man in the mirror.

Zach, why don’t you come get your favorite candy? The Entity said. Zachary put his hand out toward the candy but noticed it was inside the mirror. Zachary reached inside the mirror and pulled his hand away.

Zachary, you open this door right now! Zachary’s mother screamed.

Zachary eyeballing the candy licked his lips and put his hand, head, and chest inside the mirror.

The door clicked and Zachary’s mother rushed in to find Zachary’s body halfway into the mirror.

She ran towards her son and the mirror came down. She said it looked like razor-sharp teeth, and once the mirror solidified it split the boy into pieces. Screaming in agonizing terror his mother noticed two red and yellow eyes inside the mirror twirling around and around in different directions.

The blood splattered everywhere and the boy’s mother was in shock. Christine gasped as she looked at the drawings of the scene and the pictures. The same message on the mirror popped up from Rodger’s house. I require your soul. You cannot escape.

What was disturbing about the whole thing was all the blood on the mirror and on the floor, but Jerome an excellent artist drew a disturbing picture? Zachary who was now deceased looked through the mirror eating his candy on the other side.

Jerome gulped as he showed the images to Christine he said. Notice the walls. What is wrong with the walls? Christine asked. Jerome looked at the picture and pointed out the cracks in the wall where the mirror was in the bathroom. There on one side of the wall were four distinguishing marks on one side and three on the other.

He glanced at Christine and declared it looks like they pushed apart the wall. The earthquake split the soil leading up to the home. I got the impression Jerome was trying to say the monster in the mirror caused the earthquake. He pointed again at the marks on the wall and said in religious practices all around the world they called this the mark of the beast.

The Entity Parallels

The Disappearance

I assigned the days succeeding Rodger’s disappearance a woman named Christine to Rodgers household to search for any traces to aid and solve his case, and his controversial disappearance.

His neighbors declared he had rushed into his property and retired inside his home. He never came out. The acquaintances were questioning if he murdered himself, but there were no traces of him leaving any clues why he was missing. I gave Christine orders as the chief of law enforcement to go to Rodgers home, and to compile evidence, but to be wary, because several employees have quit due to unexplainable circumstances.

The swat teams and CSI crews were at his home. Upon her arrival, she could hear many flies as she rolled up her window. The noise was deafening. She lined up her automobile next to Rodgers got out of the car and strolled up the paved pathway to the front door.

She recognized as she went over to enter the home was a sign. It read. Welcome, The Aragon Family.

Christine walked to the door and discovered on the home were thousands of flies. Her presence divided the flies as she got closer to stuccoed walls where they were flying. The flies appeared to compose in cursive. The comments in which she saw sent chills down Christine’s vertebra.

He comes to feast upon your soul. Walk into this home and you shall bear the mark of the beast. Beware the shadows!

Christine shakily pulled the key out of her handbag and stuck the key into the deadbolt. She turned until she heard the click. The sound sent chills down her bones. She could see the hairs on her arms begin to lift as she twisted the doorknob and opened the door into the home. The air stunk of sulfur. She coughed as she wobbled away from the entrance.  The stench was extraordinarily powerful. It hurt her eyes as she lingered for the smell to leave the household. After staggering backward she went over to her automobile and grabbed a white mask to shield her from her from the vile-smelling odor.

She walked up the paved road again and found herself peering at the flies. They were no longer buzzing along the wall. She was seeing something inconceivable and unexplainable. The flies were stiff on the floor. The land on the lot was covered in black lifeless insect remains. What? Christine said as she made her way to the door. Christine looked into Rodgers home. She placed the mask on and stepped inside his home. The ground had been blanketed in Mala Mujer plants. Which made it complicated to travel around the city, and the water from the lake was still falling out blood red from the tap. What happened to you Rodger? She reflected as she walked around the living room section. The guy had class and had many pictures of his woman and kid. Christine walked on the wood floor and declared she was now more than ever working to investigate his disappearance.

Christine strolled around the home looking at all the furniture. Rodger had many cabinets and bookshelves in a chamber in the rear of the home, but when she arrived to his chamber, she discovered nothing strange or out of place. There was no foul play in the home at all. She strode back into the living room area and walked toward the restroom door. She snickered as she glanced down at a Playboy magazine. Rodger, you are a classic husband. I wonder if Irene knew you read these magazines. She went over to the restroom and spun the doorknob. She had desired to go since she fled the police station, but something spooked her as she opened the door. An arachnid fell down from the ceiling and touched down on the wall near the doorknob. Christine with a sudden shift of her legs and feet crushed the spider. The spiders gut spewed on her shoe and on the wall.

She laughed and announced it deceased on the spot. Christine was a muscular girl who went to martial arts classes and hot yoga twice a week. She studied at the spider guts on the wall and glanced down at her tennis shoe. The spider’s leg even jerked, as it remained attached to her tennis shoe. Christine jumped as the leg twitched, but realized there on the floor were footprints. The footprints were of a male adult. She studied them and thought they had to be Rodgers.

She opened the door to the restroom and realized the footprints lead straight to the lavatory. The toilet right in front of a colossal mirror. The bathroom huge, and the lavatory three feet away. She followed the footsteps up to the mirror. Christine questioned how the footsteps got there. She recognized the city had the same dilemma. The cream from the Mala Mujer staining all the wood floors. The pathway of footsteps leading up to the mirror and disappeared, and as Christine looked into the mirror, and did not see a reflection. The mirror seemed bizarre. It rippled and changed. What’s going on? Christine looked harder into the mirror and peered at a black hand reaching out of the mirror Christine questioned her sanity and moved away from the mirror. She bumped into the toilet and jumped. She screamed as she saw the black cloudy hand reaching for her as it escaped the mirror. What the…? Christine said as she forced her way toward the exit. She looked at a warped image of a devilish face staring at her in the mirror.

The being said.

I require your soul. You cannot escape me.

The creature looked evil. Christine’s heart thump so hard she did not believe her eyes. The report in which the chief told her and the stories they informed her about were fact. Rodger investigating the supernatural. The black hands reaching out of the mirror must have killed Rodger; or worse, the being killed him while conducting his investigation and destroyed his soul. Christine made her way out of the restroom and drew deep breaths though she had the mask on she inhaled and tasted sulfur. Her eyes hurt as she tried to take a breath. She rushed out of the home. She left the door wide-open, but as the black hands moved throughout the residence. The door slammed.

Christine did not believe what she was seeing. She pulled the mask off, fell to her knees, and cried. The dead flies were all twitching and moving where she sat. The buzz from the flies hurt her ears as they flew up towards the front entrance of the house. The flies created an impression of a monstrous-looking creature with long horns. The creature stepped towards me. He lay his palm on my forehead and suddenly the flies took off towards the home. The flies were engaging suicide as they all flew hard into the door and walls of the house. Christine pulled herself together and forced her way to her automobile rushing at top speed. She took out her keys hit the unlock button on her remote, and opened the door, and got into the car slamming the door, stuck the key into the ignition and high-tailed it out of there.

When she was further than a mile away from Rodgers home, she appeared to sob. Her pulse was rapid and she could sense the adrenaline pouring through her nerves and this cluster in her belly. “What the hell?” She replied. She pulled off to the side of the street and punched the drive wheel of the automobile. Christine, she declared. Pull yourself together lady. The whole scene looked creepy. She put her hand on her other arm and felt something on her flesh. She noticed her skin was black. Her arm had the image of a hand. It was black, and as she fixated on her arm, she recognized it said Illuminati. The word formed and terrified her. Christine manic and scared put her head on the drive wheel and took a deep breath. She was struggling to center herself. She picked her eyes up and noticed the road she was on was Illuminati. The black spot on her arm disappeared, and it left her with questions.

What happened to you Rodger? Where did you go and are you alive? What is happening and why did that black monster of flies not slay me? It makes no sense. Christine still resting in her car stared at the neighborhood she was in. The streets all had strange names like Devils Lane, Sins Drive, Bloody Avenue, and many others. It was a strange city, but Devils Lake was the reason for the bizarre names. The city’s people viewed something haunted the mountain and evil. Christine was a native to the city and someone not acquainted the city, or the city’s mythology. The problem was she learned how the city shaped, and it scared her. The city was in the shape of a Devils’ skull with horns branching the city further into the mountain, but few live near Camp Devils Lake.

Christine focused on her arms moving her arm around looking for the black mass was on her arm just moments ago. She centered her emotions and could focus on the current case. Christine put her car in drive and made her way into the city. Christine looked up at the biggest building and drove into an underground parking parked her car and opened the door. She looked at her arm as the black mass again showed a name called Devil’s Den as her arm burned she looked away and made her way up to the elevator. Her attention turned when she was making her way into the building when a man called her from a distance.

Christine, Christine, how are you doing today?

Christine looked at the man and noticed it was Jerome. He was a small man who loved to draw. She could tell he was in a hurry to catch up to her. Christine rolled her eyes and waited for him to catch up to her. What’s up to Jerome? How are you today? I asked first he said. I am doing well, and you Christine said. Jerome said. I am doing well he said. I have just completed painting a portrait of a demon looking creature. You did what? Christine asked. Jerome explained. I had to go to a home and paint a portrait of an infernal-looking monster. Why do such a task? He claimed there was an inhuman slaughter in one home in the city. He was shuddering as he informed me of the household’s tragedy.
